Ring Recovery
Got a Email today from Helen regarding a lost Wedding Ring at a Beach Wedding yesterday South of Marine Parade the Mount
The Ring Bearer had dropped them both before the Wedding, one was found shortly afterward but not the other
Got there at 1.30pm and within 5 minutes had located it in the sand at the base of some stairs leading to the Beach
Very happy to help Helen out
Stayed at the Mount and managed a search in a area away from Beach goers not looked at a lot as there is not usually crowds around this spot often and finishing up in the usual spots when most had left
got a reasonable amount plus lots of steel rubbish

Gold and Platinum
Interesting afternoon at the Mount Thursday with 2 Rings found the first one a 9 ct Wedding Band 9.2 grams, this was followed 10 minutes later with what I thought was Silver but after closer inspection has 950 stamped on the inside and came in at 5.2 grams, both of these had spent sometime in the care of Neptune
These were accompanied by a selection of badly corroded coins due to what could be described as a massive sand up welling on a section of the Beach accompanied with layers of sea lettuce and kelp
The sand in places was of a texture not seen before on this section with some places built to a depth of half a metre which made digging a breeze
Went back last night with Colin but this had changed again with more Kelp and came up with very little
Jumped back up to the dry to be content with the leftovers of the Surf Carnival of rigging clamps, nuts and bolts, washers and a Hammer along with a few coins
Very nice inscription on the inside of the Gold Wedding Band

Quite productive night at the Mount Beach last night with $23+ found, some Silver and a Seiko ladies watch that may have been lost very recently and would say be someone's prized possession
These will be handed in to the usual place
Met a couple of tourists that have never seen Metal detecting before and were very interested in what I was doing.
Gustavo a Mexican asked me if he could video my progress down the beach,he must now think that this is the way to make money as I pulled coin after coin up telling him what it was before I saw it
When I hit the watch I knew it was something interesting
Very enjoyable

Been out a few times to a couple of places were some Rings have been lost and not found yet due to being lost in the tide and have been putting the time in searching for these
There has been a little sand movement and was hoping the odd ring may appear, most of the Bling stuff has appeared were there was nothing previously, waiting for some rough weather for some sand erosion
Half of the spendables are of the Mount Main Beach but numbers are thinning out as we move into Autumn
